Former Manville Telegrapher Dies
Ralph N. Roley, 56, former telegraph operator for the Chicago and North Western Railroad at Manville, died September 29 in Miami, Fla. of cancer. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Miami October 1.
Mr. Roley married Tillie Sparks of the Royal Valley community October 4, 1924. They were the parents of three children, a son Norman preceding him in death. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gene of Miami and richard of Washington, d. c.; and three grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Roley visited here in 1951, visiting Mrs. Roley's sisters, Mrs. Harry Carlisle and Mrs. Harold Gautschi, and their families, and other relatives.
