Fred Webb Dies Here Saturday

Fred M. Webb, 61, died early Saturday morning in the Spencer Hospital from a heart attack. Mr. Webb had suffered two attacks at his home Friday evening before being taken to the hospital where he had the fatal attack.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from St. George's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Theodore Foster officiating. Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, accompanied the quartet composed of Mrs. Robert Bramlet, Mrs. Walter c. Fernau, Harry Lyon, and Dr. Richard Collins. Pallbearers were: Michael Miller, Harold Rogers, Roy Johnson, Ray Olafson, Ed Hales, and James Groves.

Following the funeral rites of the Church, the Elks Lodge held a short memorial service. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Fred McEuen Webb, son of George and Lotti McEuen Webb, was born in Ortonville, Minn., August 20, 1899. In 1902 the family moved to Creston, Wash., where Mr. Web received his education. The family moved to Montana in 1920. He married Lillian Hopkins in 1936 and they were the parents of three daughters. Mrs. Webb died in 1942. He was engaged in mining most of his life and at the time of his death was working at a project in Pringle, S. Dak. He married Alice M. Garrett in Las Vegas, Nev., April 3, 1957. Mr. Webb was a confirmed member of St. George's Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; his daughters, Mrs. Delores Sherrill of Walden, Colo., Mrs. Lila Gabbard of Rock Springs, and Melva J. Webb, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Clyde Webb, Sedro Wooley, Wash., and Sidney Webb, Colville, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Lila Hull of Colville; and four grandchildren, Brenda and Tommy Sherrill and Deborah and Liza Gabbard.

Out-of-town friends and relatives attending the services were: Miss Martha Haggar, Sioux Falls, S. Dak.; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Sherrill and family, Mrs. Ruth Sherrill, Bill Monahan, Walden, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gabbard and family, Rock Springs; Mrs. Lila Hull, Colville, Wash.; Grover Henderson, Mapleton, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. John E. Trienter, James Deet, Central City, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. J. Bishoff, Edgemont; Mr. and Mrs. Lester W. Tretaer, Rapid City; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Tisdale, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Walker, Custer; Mrs. Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Boggs, Merle Boggs, James Winer, Seth Coffin, Mrs. Zeimest and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Drigenstine and son, Mrs. Ruby Hurmeiers, Pringle; Mrs. Nora Wanek, Mrs. Edna Ness and Joe, Lost Springs.

Dinner was served to the relatives and out-of-town guests at the Erwin Hall by the women of St. George's Guild.
