LAST RITES HELD FOR WM. DOMAN

William Sherman Doman of Midwest passed away at the local hospital Saturday evening, his death being caused by a stroke which he suffered earlier in the afternoon. He was ill only a few hours until the time of his death. Mr. Doman was 70 years of age and although in his old age he was very active, a kind and loving husband and a devoted father. The host of friends who knew him will miss his sunny jovial disposition.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, October 24th, at 3:00 o'clock at the Peet Chapel. Rev. Marshall pastor of the Congregational Church officiated. The songs "Face to Face," and "Sweet Bye and Bye" were sung by the mixed quartette, J. M. Hungate, O. P. Harnagel, Mrs. H. J. Templeton, and Mrs. Bob Taylor with Miss Alice Fowler accompanying at the piano. Mrs. Templeton rendered the solo "Somewhere a Voice is Calling."

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery, the remains of Mr. Doman being laid to rest by R. S. Bell, Otis Bump, Archie Sparks, Lou Bass, Herbert Sabin and J. D. Lorenzen.

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Ralph and Ray Doman, and Mrs. Dora Doman of Midwest, Lawrence Doman of Taft California, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Doman of Rapid City, S. Dak., Mrs. Ella Wells, Carter, S. Dak., Mrs. Ritchie, Mrs. Robertson and son, Mr. and Mrs. Kimes and Joe Doman all from Anselmo, Nebr.

OBITUARY
William Sherman Doman

William Sherman Doman, son of John and Martha Doman, was born at Wapello, Iowa, December 8, 1869. When he was six years old he moved with his parents to Richardson county, Nebraska, where he resided until he was 22 years of age, then going to Custer county, Nebraska.

He was married August 8, 1897 to Cora Snyder at Merna, Nebraska. To this union six children were born: Ralph and Ray of Midwest, Wyoming; Lawrence of Taft, Calif; Mrs. Gay Simon of Lusk; Mrs. Lila Ritchie of Anselmo, Nebr., and one daughter, Elsie, who preceded him in death. In 1911 he moved with his family to Node where he took up a homestead, later moving to Lusk. He owned and managed the Lusk Dray Line for about seven years. Later he moved to Custer county, Nebraska, where he again took up farming for fifteen years, returning to Lusk, December 20, 1938, where he visited with a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Simon, until in March when he went to Midwest, Wyoming, to make his home with a son, Ralph.

Besides his children he leaves to mourn his death, his widow, Mrs. Cora Doman; six grandchildren, LaVerne and Russell Dean Simon; Billy, Doris, Dickle and Darlene Ritchie; four brothers, Joseph and Clarence of Anselmo, Nebraska; Arthur of Rapid City, South Dakota; Earl of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Wells, of Carter, South Dakota.

He was a kind and loving husband and a devoted father. He also leaves a host of friends who will miss his sunny disposition.
