Delmar L. Alter
Services for Delmar L. Alter, age 74, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 1991, in the Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bob Norris officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk cemetery.
Alter died Thursday, June 20, 1991, in Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk following a short illness. He was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Lusk, the son of John F. and Louise Alter.
He attended school in Lusk and spent all of his life sheep ranching north of Lusk.
He entered the Army Oct. 16, 1942, and received an honorable discharge on Jan. 6, 1946.
He married Bernadine Peterson on Jan. 9, 1948, in Long Beach, Calif.
Survivors include his wife Bernadine; five children, Patricia Jugler of Casper; Dwayne Peterson of Riverton, Aleta Scott of Rapid City, S.D., Bette Alter of Carlsbad, Calif. and Coleen Palmer of Casper; two sisters, Avanell Hodgson of Boulder, Colo. and Wyome Bourret of Lusk and 10 grandchildren.
Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
