Fred McDonald
Funeral Services of Fred McDonald Are Held Monday
Funeral services for Fred McDonald, who died last Saturday, were held from the Midwest Funeral parlors last Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. B. F. Farrar officiating, interment being made in the Lusk cemetery.
Very little definite knowledge could be assembled for an obituary. He was born in Canada some 54 years ago. His wife preceded him in death several years ago, and his mother is thought to be still a resident of Canada. One sister lives in Chicago, and another in California, and a brother is thought to be living somewhere in Illinois.
In 1913, Mr. McDonald came to this section with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Martin from Glenellen, Ill., with whom he had lived back east, and he continued his residence with them here for some time.
About 12 years ago he filed on a homestead south of Node, and has lived there most of the time since. He has been in poor health for quite a while and passed away last Saturday.
Mr. McDonald was a good neighbor, and is spoken of highly by the few who knew him best, but was of a retiring disposition and had few intimates.
