Floyd I. Alexander
Funeral services for Floyd I. Alexander, 80, were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk, with the Rev. Mark Lohr officiating. Interment followed in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993 at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. He was born Dec. 22, 1912 in North Platte, Neb., the son of George and Rena (Valentine) Alexander.
The family came to Wyoming in a covered wagon in 1916, and homesteaded in Muskrat Canyon, where Floyd began his schooling.
He married Gerry Cogdill in 1934. They had one son, Dan, who now lives in Casper. Most of Floyd's life was spent driving truck in the construction business. On Jan. 13, 1966 he married Laura Davis and they made their home in Manville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leo, and a daughter-in - law, Marilyn.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; one son, Dan, two step-daughters, LaVon and Crystal; a step-son, Kenneth; one sister Esther Bartos; two brothers, Alvin and Oscar; one granddaughter, Dana; six step-grandchildren; eight great-step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial to a charity of the donor's choice will be appreciated by the family.
Bader-Peet Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
