Mrs. Anna Brown, 82, Passes Away Last Thursday, in Lusk
Mrs. Anna Scott Brown, aged 82 years, passed away in Lusk last Thursday, April 18, death being due to general infirmities.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, April 20, at 2:30 from the Midwest Funeral Parlors, Rev. George D. Jenkins officiating. Appropriate music was rendered by Mrs. H. J. Templeton, George Gibson and Rev. Jenkins, with Mrs. George Gibson at the piano. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born in Freeport, Pa, October 11, 1852. The family afterward moved to Newton, Iowa, where she was married to William Rose Brown. They then moved to Belgrade, Neb., until 1914, when they moved to Lusk.
Mrs. Brown is the mother of four sons - Ralph of Fullerton, Neb., Arthur and Ray of Ft. Laramie, Wyo., and Carl of Lusk. These, with their wives, 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, survive her. Her husband preceded her in death seven years ago. Of her own family, one sister, Mrs. Francis Brown of Belgrade, Neb., and one brother, Thomas Scott, of Pitttsburg, Pa., also remain.
At an early age she was baptized in the Presbyterian church and continued her connection with that fellowship all her life. She was a good neighbor and a host of friends regret her passing.
Pallbearers were R. A. Peterson, Dan Pierson, Frank Canaday, C. L. Pugsley, Merle Jewett and Richard Barnett.
