Letha A. Bible, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at her residence in Thermopolis.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Born March 13, 1929 in New Haven, Wyo., she was the daughter of Paul J. and Lydia Mae (Clark) Atkinson. She attended school in Hulett. She married Doyle H. Moore of Moorcroft in 1946, who died in 1954 in a car accident.
She clerked sales for her nephews, Shawn and Lex Madden (Madden Brother's Auction) from 1977 until retirement in the mid 2000's. At the same time she was a secretary for Niobrara County Weed and Pest for 18 years. Her interests and hobbies were cards of any kind, especially bridge, fishing, camping, and horseback riding. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Living in Thermopolis previously, she returned in 2005 to be closer to her sons and grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Irvin (Cindy) Moore of Rock Springs and Kit (Trenda) Moore of Thermopolis; four brothers, Tom, Bobby, Denver and Jamie Atkinson, all of Poplar, Mont.; three sisters, Glenna Madden and Helen "Brownie" Brummell, both of Torrington and Dottie "Sissy" Atkinson of Poplar; four grandchildren, Greg, Kelly, Logan and Travis Moore and three great grandchildren Lyndsy, Bobby and Makayla. In addition there are many nieces and nephews, all special to Letha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, J.D. Atkinson, her husband, Wayne Bible, and one great granddaughter, Heather.
Mortimore Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the H.S.Co. Senior Citizen Center in Thermopolis, 82443.
