Lena Boekhoff
Former Resident of Van Tassell Dies in Iowa
Funeral services were held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pisgah, Iowa, at 10 o'clock, Tuesday, Dec. 17, for Mrs. Lena Boekhoff. Interment was in the Magnolia, Iowa, cemetery. Rev. Father John O'Connor officiated.
Mrs. Boekhoff was born near Woodbine, Iowa, on Nov. 17, 1882, the daughter of Margaret E. and Adolphus L. Rogers. She passed away at her home in Omaha on Dec. 15, 1946. She was united in marriage to William A. Boekhoff on July 5, 1911, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and lived in that city for two years prior to moving to a ranch near Van Tassell, Wyoming. They made their home there for 32 years, coming to Omaha, Neb., a year ago, when Mrs. Boekhoff's health began to fail.
She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Harold Silsby, Carroll, Iowa; Mrs. Amos Griffith of Pisgah, Iowa; two brothers, Adophus B. Rogers of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Robert Rogers of Omaha.
