Jack Oliver Dies In Auto Crash
Jack Oliver, 51, of Torrington, Wyo., well known in Lusk, died in a Greeley, Colo. hospital, last Saturday afternoon as the result of a head-on collision of the car in which he was riding with a car driven by a Denver man. The accident occurred last Wednesday, on Highway 85, near Plattsville, Colo.
The car in which Oliver was riding was driven by William Archer, also of Torrington, who suffered minor injuries. Oliver was a veteran of World War I and was active in Legion affairs.
Note: The Valley View Cemetery Records from Torrington, Wyoming have "Old Forge, Pennsylvania" listed next to his name, which possibly indicates his place of birth.
