Mrs. Lawton Clark Drowns in Canada
Mrs. Lawton Clark drowned last week in the Campbell River in British Columbia, Canada, when the boat in which she, Mr. Clark and a guide were riding capsized in a whirlpool. Her body was likely swept down rapids and has not been recovered.
Mr. Clark was graduated from Lusk High School with the Class of 1941 and received a degree from University of Wyoming. He organized and has been operating an independent oil company in Canada.
Clarks were on a vacation from their home in Calgary, Canada. Memorial services were held in Calgary Tuesday.
Mr. Clark is a nephew of Mrs. Otto Koeberlin of Lusk. Besides her husband, Mrs. Clark is survived by a daughter.
