Charles Tooley Dies in Arizona
Arriving in Hastings, Neb., to spend Christmas with a son and daughter, W. J. Tooley of Lusk had the sad experience to receive a telephone call informing him of the death of his son, Charles Tooley, whose home was in Chicago, Ill., but because of ill health was spending the winter in Phoenix, Arizona.
As a young man, Charles Tooley resided in this community, homesteading on a claim near the John Agnew ranch. He died December 22 and the remains were shipped to Hastings, Neb., for burial, where services were held Friday, December 28.
Survivors are his wife of Chicago, who went to Hastings for the services; his father, W. J. Tooley of Lusk; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sopher Strowls of Phoenix, Ariz., and Miss Naomi Tooley of Hastings, Neb., and two brothers, Simon of Hastings and Bern, in the service.
