Harold Roy Morgan, Sr.

Funeral Services for Harold Roy Morgan, Sr., 69, from Manville, Wyo., will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at the Dellview Cemetery in Manville, Wyo. Harold passed away Dec. 18, 2010 in Rapid City, SD.

Roy was the son of Harold Henry Morgan and Roberta (Sparks) Morgan, and was born Nov. 28, 1941 in Denver, Colorado, the third for five children. Roy joined the Air Force on June 26, 1961. He retired from C & W Railroad as superintendent in 1981.

Roy met Darlene F. Wilson in American Falls, Idaho, and they were married June 4, 1958 in Bird City, Kansas. They are the parents of three children: Linda D. Kelly of Cheyenne, Wyo., Harold Roy Morgan, Jr., of Guernsey, Wyo., and Dwayne E. Morgan of Nickelson, Nebr. They have nine grandchildren: Bill, Tim, Amanda, Troy, Roy Jr. II, Jeri Jo, Chelsea, Tiffany, and Morgan. They are also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Benjamin Jr., Asher, Landon, and Aubrey.

Roy was a very loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. During his life he enjoyed chariot racing, motorcycle racing, stock car racing, horse racing, and baseball. Roy also enjoyed roping, working with horses, and helping people achieve their goals and dreams. He really enjoyed riding his bike during Sturgis and meeting new people. Roy was very respected in everything he did and by everyone he knew.
