J. Elmer Brock Dies of Heart Attack Monday
J. Elmer Brock, 72, widely known Wyoming rancher and president of the Wyoming Natural Resources Board, died in a Buffalo, Wyo. hospital shortly after he suffered a heart attack in a Buffalo grocery store Monday.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Episcopal Church in Buffalo. The Rev. Raymond Knapp will officiate and Masonic services will be conducted at the graveside.
Mr. Brock is the father of Mrs. Dan Hanson of Niobrara County. Mr. Brock had not been ill and had attended a business meeting in Buffalo a short time before his death. He operated a ranch in the south part of Johnson County and was one of Wyoming's most prominent stockmen. He was president of the Brock Livestock Co., past president of the American National Livestock Association, and a past president of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association, and a past master of the Buffalo Masonic Lodge.
In addition to Mrs. Hanson, Mr. Brock is survived by the widow Janet Brock; and one son, Culbertson Brock of Kaycee.
