Infant Son of Paul McGees Dies Tuesday
An infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul McGee died in the Niobrara Memorial Hospital at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. The infant was one of the twins born Saturday.
The boy had been named Mickey Paul and weighed four pounds, four ounces. His twin sister weighed three pounds, 15 ounces. The body is being taken to Gillette for burial Thursday.
The infant died despite being placed in the new airlock in the hospital. The airlock is a miniature iron lung with a slight difference in principle. It was originally brought to Lusk by Mayor Oscare E. Bostrom and Richard G. Pfister in an emergency. It was later purchased by the Lusk Lions Club, the Lusk Volunteer Fire Department, and other interested individuals.
