Mrs. Carlson Dies In Hot Springs
Mrs. Charles Carlson died at a Hot Springs hospital Monday morning after an illness of several months.
Mr. and Mrs. Carlson and their daughter, Elsie, were residents of Lusk for a number of years in the 1920's. Mr. Carlson was president of the First National Bank here and they built the residence now owned by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wolfe.
Before moving to Lusk they owned and operated the AU7 Ranch on the Cheyenne River.
Funeral services were held in Newcastle Wednesday and among the Lusk friends attending were Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Olinger. Mr. Olinger was one of the casket bearers.
Survivors include Mrs. Carlson's daughter, Mrs. Thomas Stokes of Newcatle, and her grandchildren, James Stokes who is in the service and only recently returned from Korea, and Jean Stokes, who is in college, two sisters, Miss Kate Clark, and Miss Elsie Clark, both of California.
