Abbie M. Ellison
Former Lusk Resident Dies in Billings
Mrs. Abbie M. Ellison, 78, of Greybull, and one time resident of Lusk, died in a Billings, Montana nursing home July 23 after suffering a stroke.
Funeral services were held at the Greybull Presbyterian Church July 26.
Born Jan. 7, 1876 in Junction City, Kan., Mrs. Ellison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Pate, came to Lusk in 1889, moving to Big Horn Basin in 1892. She had lived in the basin continuously until coming to the Billings nursing home about a month ago.
She was married to Alonzo Freemont Ellison at Lusk in 1892. Mr. Ellison died at Greybull in 1930.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ella Perkins of 614 N. Broadway, Mrs. John Becker of 827 N. 19th St, Mrs. J. E. Webber, of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Frank Maret and Mrs. Robert Satterfield of Casper; three brothers, Dillion Pate of Livingston, Lee Pate of Lennep and Claude Pate of Lovell; 27 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
