Former Local Resident Dies in Washington Fri.
Mose Umphenour, 67, of Centralia, Wash., brother of Mrs. Ira Teter of Lusk, died at his home Friday from a heart condition. Funeral services were held Monday in Centralia with burial there.
Mr. Umphenour homesteaded northeast of Lusk in 1914, making his home there until moving to Lusk in the 30's. He served on the Lusk Police Force in 1936.
Survivors include his wife, Vina and two sons, Jay and Rex. Three grandchildren, one sister and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Albert Meier of Keeline is a niece. One son, four sisters and six brothers previously died.
