Woman found dead in her home

Jodie Craggs, 28, of Lusk, was found dead in her home at 410 W. Third Friday evening.

Lusk Police officer Sean Dreesen said he arrived at the scene at 7:10 p.m. and attempted CPR, but got no response. Lusk Ambulance personnel responded and Niobrara County Coroner Todd Weber pronounced Craggs dead at the scene. Weber ordered an autopsy to determine cause of death.

No further information on the case will be released pending an investigation led by the Department of Criminal Investigation out of Casper.

Febrary 3, 1973 - November 23, 2001

Jodie Craggs, age 28, of Lusk passed away on Friday evening, Nov. 23, 2001, at her home in Lusk.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk. The Elks Lodge #1797 of Lusk will conduct the srvice. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 29. Cremation will take place after the service. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Jodie was born in Albuquerque, N.M., on Feb. 3, 1973, to Harry G. (Buddy) and Vicki (Hudgens) Frazee. She moved to Wyoming with her parents at the age of 11 months and lived on various ranches until they moved to Lusk in March of 1979.

She started kindergarten in Bill, and finished the rest of her school years in Lusk, graduating from Niobrara County High School in May of 1991. She was involved in many things in high school and was one of the few students from Wyoming who was in the Who's Who of American High School Students in her senior year.

She married Paul L. Force in Kimball, Neb., in 1992. They had two childen, Amy Rose and Paul L. Force, Jr. In October 1999, she married Casey Craggs in Lusk; they have one son, Jason Craggs.

Survivors include her husband, Casey; three children, Amy Rose, Paul Jr. and Jason, all of the home; her mother, Vicki Frazee of Lusk; a brother Joe, wife Mandy and daughter Kortney of Crawford, Neb.; and a brother Jason of Lusk; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frazee and great-grandmother Meadows of McIntosh, N.M.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her very much.

Her father Buddy; maternal grandparents, Joe and Hazel Hudgens; an infant sister; and a daughter who died in infancy preceded her in death.
