Floyd Hall Dies Mon. Afternoon

Floyd Hall died at Chadron Hospital early Monday afternoon after being in critical condition since he was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hall arrived Saturday evening from their home at Fargo, N.D., called by the serious illness of his father.

Funeral service will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the Harrison Methodist Church; and burial will be here. Rev. J. Lee Gorman will officiate.

Last Rites Held For Floyd Hall

Last rites for Floyd Hall, 72, who died July 27 at the Chadron Community Hospital, were held from Memorial United Methodist Church in Harrison last Thursday afternoon, and burial was in the Harrison Cemetery.

The Rev. J. Lee Gorman, Pastor, officiated, and Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Miss Ann Coffee sang "The Lord's Prayer," Mrs. Robert Todd accompanied her and played on the organ "Beyond the Sunset" and "Beautiful Isle."

Floyd Lee Hall, son of Francis Matthew and Sarah Rickard Hall, was born July 10, 1898, on a ranch in the Bodarc Community northeast of Harrison. He spent his boyhood on the ranch and in Harrison, and as a young man lived and worked in various places.

September 2, 1928, he married Ruth Beach at Chadron. They were parents of two children.

He was in business in Fort Laramie, Wyo., until 1944 when he returned to Harrison and made his home on the ranch until his retirement in 1967. He then lived in Harrison until his death.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. John C. Marsteller of Chadron; a son, Richard and wife Barbara of West Fargo, N.D.; a sister, Mrs. SaraBelle Forbes of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Frank of Lander, Wyo.; seven grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers died previously.
