A Celebration of Life for Nancy Jean Schwartz of Cheyenne, Wyo. and formerly of Lusk, Wyoming will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of Chimes. Burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Laramie, Wyoming at 3:30 p.m. Nancy fought a courageous battle with cancer and ultimately entered her new life while at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne on Saturday, March 27, 2010.
Nancy was born Aug. 29, 1949 in Laramie Wyoming to John and JuanaLea Eilbeck. She graduated from Laramie High in 1968, and was united in marriage to Jim Schwartz Nov. 10, 1968. The couple then moved to Gillette and then Lusk where they raised their three children, owned and operated the Lusk Drive-In Theater and Pink Panther Campground. She was employed for 23 years at Lusk Elementary School. She was dedicated to her children and the community children. After their youngest graduated from high school, Cheyenne became the final location to call home and she once again worked with children at "Kiddie College". She had an amazing amount of patience, understanding and love for children. Nancy was able to connect with children in a way which enabled tremendous growth and learning.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Jim Schwartz of Cheyenne; mother, JuanaLea Eilbeck of Cheyenne, Wyo.; sons Mike Schwartz, of Jackson Minn. and Rusty Schwartz of Torrington, Wyo.; daughter, Angel Schwartz of Cheyenne, Wyo.; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Deven, Megan, Abigael, Preston, Isabel, and Ava; brother, Jeff Eilbeck of Loveland, Colo.; and Nephew, Tyler Eilbeck.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, John Eilbeck and her in-laws Blackie and Francis Schwartz
