Suel "Casey" J. Jarrad
Suel Jarrad Passes Away
Our community was saddened last week by the death of Suel J. Jarrad, who passed away Wednesday night, Jan. 16, 1918. Mr. Jarrad had been in poor health for some time and had spent several months at the sanitarium at Woodmen, Colo., from which place he returned about two months ago.
Casey, as he was familiarly known, had made many friends during his residence with us, having been among the pioneers of Van Tassell.
He leaves two sons, Edgar and Harold, who are making their home with Mr. and Mrs. Will. Flora of Burge, and a sister, Mrs. Howell Jones, of this place, besides other relatives.
The funeral was held Friday from the Congregational church, under the auspices of the Modern Woodmen of which lodge Mr. Jarrad was a member. Interment was made in Van Tassell cemetery.
