L. Jean (Marple) Krejci

Memorial services for L. Jean Krejci, 81, of Lusk, will be held at a later date. She passed away Nov. 12, 2009, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

Leola Jean (Marple) Krejci was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Wheatland, Wyoming. When she was an infant, her mother was employed at the 77 Spaugh Ranch near Manville. Her mother married George Joss and they made their home at the Horseshoe Ranch. Her brother Phil and sister Sandra Joss joined the family.

Jean's mother, Leola, passed away when Jean was 14 years old. Jean then spent time with the Joss family and with Jim and Della McAllister.

Jean married Henry Krejci and they made their home on the ranch north of Lance Creek. In later years, ill health forced them to move into Lusk.

Jean was admitted to the Niobrara Health and Life Center in February 2009.

Her sister, Sandra Thompson, of Colorado; sister-in-law Barb Joss of Lusk; two nephews and three nieces; one daughter and four grandchildren of Malta, Mont.; and the Krejci family survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband in July 2009; brother, Phil Joss; and nephew Marty Joss.
