John Kinsella
Former Lusk Resident Dies in Rapid City
John Kinsella, 91, a former resident of Lusk, died at Rapid City, Sept. 10 at the home of a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Holmes.
Mr. Kinsella moved to Lusk from Hemingford, Neb. in March, 1927, and purchased the Milburn store. He was accompanied by his wife and two children, a son, Edward, and a daughter, Mary.
In September of 1929 the family moved to Deadwood where they lived until after the death of his wife. In 1938 he went to Rapid City to make his home with his daughter and was still living with her at the time of his death.
Requiem HIgh Mass was held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Rapid City at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 with burial being in St. Ambrose cemetery at Deadwood.
Mr. Kinsella was an uncle of Joe and John Kuhn of Lusk who attended the funeral services in company with Mrs. Joe Kuhn.
