Jess Castle Dies in Iowa February 26
Jess Castle, 84, pioneer resident of the Rawhide community, died February 26 in a hospital at Yorktown, IA. from complications of old age.
He came to Wyoming in 1902 from Iowa and worked for J. Wesley Wolfe and other ranchers in the Rawhide community. He filed on a homestead in 1910 later building it into a ranch of 1000 acres. He sold his place in 1934 and moved to Rocky Comfort, MO. but returned again in 1945 and made his home at the 010 ranch until last year when he went to live with his sister Mrs. Clara Chapman, and her daughter Miss Wilma Chapman in Yorktown.
