Mrs. Wm. Ladwig Of Manville Dies Suddenly Friday

Mrs. William Ladwig, 50, of the Manville vicinity died suddenly Friday, Sept. 17, at her home of a heart condition with which she has suffered for some time. Death came about 1:30 in the morning.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the Peet Mortuary, with the Rev. F. C. Doctor, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.

Pallbearers were Leo Hines, Frank Mahnke, Alex Frosheiser, Frank Demmer, Ralph Lingwood and Raleigh Reed. Organists were Wilma Heins and Geraldine Klemke, and Phyllis Owens and Dorothy Humphreys sang "Sleep in Jesus" and "Let Me Go."

Catherine Wilhelmina Ladwig, nee Glandt, was born at Meadow Grove, Nebraska, on May 2, 1898, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Glandt. She was baptized in her infancy and at the age of 14 years she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

She came to the Jay Em vicinity with her parents in 1915. On January 7, 1920, she was united in marriage to William Ladwig of Alliance, Nebraska. They lived there until 1928. In that year they moved to Niobrara County, Wyoming, and continued to live here until the time of her death. Twelve children were born to them, all of them still living.

She is survived by her husband, William Ladwig, Sr., and twelve children - Mrs. Joseph Seifert of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Tom Fagan of Lander, Wyo.; William, Jr., of Manville; Mrs. Clyde Wilson of Denver, Colo.; Harold, of Keeline; Richard, of Manville; Olga, Ruth, Helen, James, Josephine and Lucille at home in Manville.

Mrs. Ladwig is also survived by her father, Peter J. Glandt, of Lusk, seven brothers, Julius Glandt of Wheatland, Wyo.; Peter H. Glandt of Battle Creek, Neb.; William Glandt of Manville, Wyo.; Herman Glandt of Torrington; Martin Glandt of Lusk; Gustave Glandt of Mitchell, Neb., and Christ Glandt of Scottsbluff, Neb. And also by five grandchildren and many other relatives.
