Carl Willis Elkins
Carl Elkins, 22, Dies Suddenly
Friends of the Roy Elkins family were shocked and grieved when it became known Tuesday that Carl W. Elkins had passed away at the Spencer Hospital early that morning, having entered the institution only the evening before, suffering from an attack of influenza, which, it is understood, affected his heart.
Carl Willias Elkins, 22, was a veteran of World War II. He is the son of Roy Elkins of Keeline and Mrs. Grace Elkins of Rialto, Calif. He was married and lived in the Keeline community, where he was engaged in farming and ranching.
Funeral services will be held from the Peet Chapel on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 27, at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. Clyde E. Hampton, chaplain of Weiten-Dupes Post No. 4 of the American Legion, officiating.
A complete obituary and record of the services will be published in next week's Herald.
