Georgia Christian Johns Dies at Home in Iowa
Word was received here the past week by Ray and Andrew Christian of the death of their sister, Mrs. Georgia Johns, who died Thursday, June 18 at her home in Indianola, Iowa. Although Mrs. Johns had not been well for some time her death came as a great shock to her relatives and friends.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Christian, pioneer residents of the Pleasant Ridge community and was born here in 1901. She was married in 1920 to Orville Johns and for a few years after their marriage they resided north of Lusk, then moved to Iowa where they have since made their home.
Survivors besides her husband are three children, George of Chicago, Benzel of Des Moines and Bonnie Lou of Kansas City. Among the brothers and sisters attending the funeral services which were held in Indianola on Monday was James Christian and wife of Harrison and Mrs. O. D. Moyer and husband of Henderson, Texas. Other relatives in this locality beside her brothers, Ray and Andrew Christian, is a sister, Mrs. Florence Wormwood of Glendo.
