Arthur Rhay, 72 Dies Suddenly at Ranch Wednesday
Arthur Rhay, 72, rancher 11 miles northwest of Red Bird, died of a heart attack about 6:45 this Wednesday morning.
He with his hired man, Mike Cole, had gone to the barn to saddle a horse and Mr. Rhay was buckling a lariat rope to the saddle when he collapsed. A sheep shearing crew was also on the place at the time.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the Peet Mortuary at 2:00 though further details had not been arranged at The Herald press time.
Mrs. Fay Francis is a sister of Mr. Rhay. Another sister lives in Kansas, a brother in Washington state and two brothers in Missouri. There are also a number of other relatives in this area.

Last Rites Held for Arthur Rhay
Last rites for Arthur Rhay, who died Apr. 1 at his ranch home near Red Bird from a heart attack, were conducted from the Peet Chapel on Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock.
The Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated at the service. Music was furnished by Mrs. A. F. DeCastro and Mrs. Emerson Bonner with Mrs. J. P. Watson as organist. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.
Arthur Rhay was the son of James W. and Mary Elizabeth Rhay. He was born at Bethany, Mo. Sept. 27, 1880 and grew to manhood there. Later he moved with his parents to Buffalo, Mo., and after the death of his father, he and his mother came to Wyoming locating in the Bright community where he spent the remainder of his life.
His mother died many years ago. He had never married and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ray Francis of Bright, Wyo., and Mrs. Nellie Mitchell of Behany, Mo., two brothers, Floyd Rhay of Walla Walla, Wash., and Howard Rhay of Fairplay, Mo., also many nieces and nephews. Out-of-town relatives and friends here for the services included: Floyd Rhay, Walla Walla, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rhay and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dryer of Fairplay, Mo.; Ed Mitchell of Bethany, Mo.; Lowell Ray Francis of East Chicago, Ind.; Mrs. Katie Rhay and Mr. and Mrs. Levin Bradley of Buffalo, Mo.; Mrs. Maurice Nosh and daughter, Lucile, and Mrs. and Mrs. Lester Garton, of Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Loren Walker and Dale of Harrison, Nebr.; Mrs. Jas. Sable and son, Ted, Lander, Wyo.
