Memorial services for Tommi J. Taylor, age 65, of Lusk, will be held May 9 at 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge. She passed away at her home in Lusk May 5, 2009.

Tommi J. Taylor, 65, passed away at her home in Lusk, Wyo. On Tues., May 5, 2009, after a long and courageous bout with cancer. A memorial service was given by the BPO DOES Drove #64 on Friday, May 8, at the Elks Lodge in Lusk.

Tommi was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Santa Barbara, Calif. to Helen and Ross Heminger. She moved to Lusk in 1984 where she met and married Glenn A. Taylor. She embraced her ability to help those in need, and was an active member of the DOES since 1988. She cherished decorating for the Elks Lodge for any occasion, especially for Christmas, which always had a different theme each year. She also enjoyed puzzle-working and a wide variety of crafts.

She is survived by her husband Glenn; two sisters Helenivita and Diane; two sons, David Caballero and Sean Griffin; and three daughters: Bellette "Tink" Green, T'Brene "Niki" Haslow, and Vulcania "Jimmie" Sloan; step-son Brian Taylor; and her 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen, her father Ross, daughter Talarra "Tina" Caballero Baca and son Michael Sloan.
