Dora B. Christian

Miss Dora Christian, daughter of Andrew Christian, who had been in feeble health for a year or more, died at her home on Pleasant Ridge Tuesday afternoon, aged 22 years. Funeral service will be held at the family residence tomorrow afternoon and the remains laid to rest in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery. Deceased was a bright and loving girl and was cut down at a time when her future could be looked at from a promising point of view, she being in the bloom of young womanhood. The relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad affliction.

Dora Christian fell asleep in Jesus March 5th, after a long and painful illness of about four months. We all knew she was very sick, but the news of her death came as a shock just the same. Having lived here on the Ridge since a little child, she had endeared herself to us all by her sunny disposition and we feel that a dear friend has left us. Funeral services were held at the east school house friday afternoon, Rev. Warren preaching a very beautiful and appropriate sermon from Psalms 15th chapter and 17th verse, and Miss Elsie Tatman, Miss Flucker, Mr. Tatman and J. J. ZumBrunnen sang some very appropriate hymns, after which we laid her to rest beside her mother and sister. Mr. Christian and family have the sympathy of the entire community.
