Earnest Dee Bartow

Funeral services for Earnest Dee "Earnie" Bartow, 56, of Torrington were Monday, Dec. 15, 1986 at the Colyer Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Campbell officiating.

The Lusk BPO Elks Lodge participated in the service. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery in Gering, NE. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.

Mr. Bartow died at a Casper hospital on Friday, Dec. 12, 1986. He was born Sept. 10, 1930 at Gering, the son of Floyd A. and Myrtle M (Robinson) Bartow. He grew up and attended school at Gering.

Mr. Bartow moved to Lusk in 1959. On Dec. 29, 1973, he married Ruthie Lowry at Vancouver, WA. The couple made their home in Lusk until 1975, when they moved to Torrington. He was employed by Lamb Construction Co. of Torrington for 17 years.

He had been a member of Lusk BPO Elks Lodge No. 1907 for 19 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ruthie, of Torrington, a son, Gene Bartow and daughter, Vicki (Bartow) Scott, both of Lusk; five step-children, Francis L. Lowry of Portland, OR, Karen (Lowry) Clark of Vancouver, WA, Russell Pollard of Douglas, Randy Pollard of Greeley, CO and Nikki Michael of Huntley; one sister, Lois Lowry of Scottsbluff, NE; four brothers, Dale and Harold Bartow, both of Torrington, and Normond and Louis Bartow, both of Guernsey; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
