Grover Cameron, Director of Wyrulec R. E. A., Succumbs
Grover Cameron was born at Hay Springs, Neb. Oct. 9, 1890 and died at his ranch home south of Jay Em, Wyo. Sept. 15, 1967, where he had lived for the past 31 years. He died suddenly from a coronary occlusion. In 1960 he suffered a severe coronary thrombosis enroute with Ivan Whipple to Casper, where they were going to attend an R. E. A. meeting.
In 1950, Grover was appointed a Director for Wyrulec to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Paul Depurtius and in January 1951 he was elected Director of the Annual Wyrulec Meeting and had served continuously since that time. At the State Annual Meeting in Lusk, Nov. 17, 1958 he was elected State Vice President of Wyoming R. E. A. In 1959 he was State Chairman for Job Training and Safety Committee. He shaped this Committee into a good, practical state organization.
Mr. Cameron attended many State and Regional R. E. A. Meetings, and served as Voting Delegate for Wyrulec at many of the meetings. He helped map the area and "sign up" members in the north end of Goshen County (around Jay Em) and to bring R. E. A. into this area.
Mr. Cameron enjoyed working with Wyrulec and R. E. A. personnel and was proud to be a Director in the District these many years. He attended a Wyrulec Director's Meeting the day before his death.
On March 2 and 3, 1960, Grover was invited by Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower to attend a meeting of the President's Conference on Occupational Safety held in Washington, D.C.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret (who is also an R. E. A. Booster) and two sons, Mark Cameron D. V. M. at Hyannis, Neb. and G. M. (Casey) Cameron, Pilot for Continental Air Lines and his wife, Helen and their three sons in Aurora, Colo.

Jay Em Rancher Grover Cameron Dies Sept. 15th
Grover Cameron, Jay Em rancher and a member of the board of directors of the Wyrulec Company for the past 16 years, died suddenly Friday, Sept. 15 at his home three miles south of Jay Em.
Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, from the Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington with Rev. Thomas Cleary officiating. Burial was in Valley View cemetery at Torrington.
A rosary was recited Tuesday, Sept. 19th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Colyer Funeral home.
Grover E. Cameron was born Oct. 9, 1890 at Hay Springs, Neb. the son of John Wesley and Dora Kruckenburg Cameron. He married Margaret Welch at Bingham, Neb. on June 14, 1922 and they moved to the Jay Em community 31 years ago.
He was a member of the Wyoming Stockgrowers Association and had been a member of the Wyrulec Company board of directors since February of 1951.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Mark of Hyannis, Neb., and Grover M. (Casey) of Aurora, Colo.; two brothers, Ray of Vernonia, Oregon and Merrit of Salem, Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Cecil Horner of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three grandchildren. One brother, Lee, preceded him in death.
A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.
Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
