Lillian Morse Dies Here Fri.

Lillian Morse, 42, a practical nurse at Niobrara Memorial Hospital for several years, died unexpectedly at her home Friday night. She had worked her shift at the hospital and apparently had not been feeling ill.

Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Mrs. A. F. DeCastro and Miss Delores DeCastro sang "The Old Rugged Cross" with Mrs. J.P. Watson providing organ music. Pallbearers were: James Pennington, Orville Allbright, Tom Dunlap, Val Edmondson, Jack Magoon and Ernest Hansen. Honorary bearers were: Mike Miller, John Robinson, R. L. Porter, Elton Shaw, Art Schnose, Jack Bejino and Art Scheer. Nurses from the Memorial Hospital attended in a body and formed an honorary escort to the grave. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Clara Lillian Morse, daughter of Rex O. and Hattie Struble Morse was born at Spencer, Wyo. January 20, 1918. She attended the Spencer school, finishing high school in Edgemont and attending the University of Wyoming. She lived with her parents until her mother's death in 1942. She taught rural school until she accompanied her father to Iowa. There she became interested in the nursing profession which she followed until her death. She had worked at the Memorial Hospital approximately eight years.

She is survived by her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Rex O. Morse of Jackson, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. Betty E. Hunter of Glenrock and Mrs. Donnabelle Murphy of Salix, Ia.; two brothers, Daniel V. Morse of Brush, Colo. and Donald T. Morse of Portland Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
