Thomas Edward "Tom" Jory, 51, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, in the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colo. Tom's family will receive friends at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Liturgy of the Resurrection was celebrated at 10 a.m. Services will also be held in Lusk at the First Baptist Church on Jan. 23 at 3 p.m.
Tom was born in Butte on Jan. 4, 1957, to Bob and Yvonnie Jory. He attended local schools, graduating from Butte High School in 1975. On Jan. 7, 1991, he married Janet Muster. He worked for D.H. Blattner & Son Construction, Hot Iron Inc. and Highway Super Service.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Bob Jory; sister, Nora Lee Jory; grandparents, Minnie and James "Chow" Powers, and Nora Han; father-in-law, Frank Muster; brother-in-law, John Muster; sister-in-law, Jean Drueschler; and niece, Samantha Muster.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Jory, an angel on this earth; stepchildren, April (Jim) Gadberry, and Corey Gustafson; mother, Yvonnie Jory; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim (Gail), Tony (Kathy), Vic (Robin), and John; sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Lynn) Lloyd; mother-in-law, Billie Muster; brother-in-law, Jeff Muster; sisters-in-law, Judy Price, Jeri Knuckey, Jill Dauenhauer, Marcy Muster, and Jamie (Dennis) Graybush; grandchildren, Tommy McGrath, Reagan Gadberry, and Leah and Austin Freeman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom's family is grateful to the hepatology and transplant doctors and staff at the University of Colorado Hospital and also to his nieces, Trica and Toni Jory, for all of the loving care they provided to Uncle Tom.
