Vivian M. Young
Vivian M. Young, a former long-time Lusk resident, died Monday, May 13, 1985, in a Nampa, Idaho hospital. She was 92.
Mrs. Young, a Nampa resident, had lived in Lusk for more than 25 years before moving to Nampa in 1938.
She was born Aug. 27, 1892, in Emerson, Neb., the daughter of Robert and Sara McCurdy Campbell. She was raised and educated in Emerson and married Arthur J. Young there March 5, 1913. The couple moved to Lusk, where Mrs. Young was a cook in several restaurants. She later worked as a cook at the Idaho State School and Hospital. After her retirement, she was active in the Foster Grandparent Program at the state school and hospital until she was 85.
Mrs. Young attended the First Christian Church in Nampa.
Survivors include four sons, Francis of West Linn, Ore., Robert of Nampa, David of Tacoma, Wash., and Gene of Portland, Ore.; three daughters, Hazel Brock of Kennewick, Wash., Marjorie Hudgins of St. Maries, Idaho, and Ruth White of Nampa; 29 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and three nieces. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Crew; a son, Cecil, three brothers and two great-grandchildren.
