Derrall Brenner Services Held Here Saturday
Funeral service was held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Peet Chapel for Derrall Brenner, 60, of Casper. Brenner was found in Lusk November 5 dead from an apparent self-inflicted gun-shot wound, according to law officers.
The Rev. Robert Boutwell conducted the service with Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist. As a special number Mrs. Watson played "Abide With Me".
Casket bearers were Harry Brown, Julius Peterson, Robert Templeton, Clayton Dixon, Jess York and Bucky Barnette. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery with Masonic graveside services by Harmony Lodge of Lusk.
Derrall Fred Brenner was born May 22, 1914, at Eldora, Iowa, the son of Fred R. and Hattie Thompson Brenner. He moved to a ranch north of Lance Creek when he was 12 years old. He attended schools in Iowa and Lance Creek.
Mr. Brenner worked for the Argo Oil Company in Lance Creek for ten years and then was with the Mobil Refinery in Casper for two years.
For 18 years he was the part owner of Rocky Mountain Rental Tool in Casper and then went into the real estate business in 1964.
He is survived by his mother of Lusk; one son Dick Brenner of Lakewood, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Richard and Lynnett of Lakewood.
His father, two sisters and two brothers died previously.
