Mrs. Mary Miltzow, 74 Years Old, Dies at Home Near Keeline

Aged Follower of John Alexander Dowie Goes to Reward

Mrs. Mary T. Miltzow, 74 years old, a resident of the Keeline district since 1917, passed away at her ranch home, about seven miles south of Keeline, last Thursday night of lobar pneumonia. Funeral was held Monday at Keeline. Rev. Edwin F. Irwin officiating at a brief service held in the home of Miss Dora Olsen at Keeline with interment in the Jireh cemetery, under arrangements of the Peet Mortuary.

The pallbearers were Robert Ruda, Kirt Baker, Alfred Linclon, Melvin Crawford, Everette Brooks and Warren Kintigh.

Although the Miltzow family have lived in the vicinity of keeline on a small ranch since 1917, the little family was little known outside of the small circle of friends. The aged husband, Helmeuth Miltzow, who is over 80 years old, and his wife who has just passed away, and her sister, Miss Lillie Lauber, also past seventy years of age, lived together on their little farm, where they raised chickens and turkeys, milking about a dozen Brown Swiss cows--living pretty much unto themselves. They are fine neighbors and are highly respected by all who knew them. When death invaded the little family circle, there were many friends who came to offer assistance and sympathy.

The members of the little family are devout followers of the religion of John Alexander Dowie, and for a time lived in the colony at Zion City. When Mrs, Miltzow was stricken with pneumonia, no physician was called and when she passed away it was necessary for Coroner Peet to sign the death certificate.

As devoted followers of the Christian Church of Zion, the surviving relatives did not wish services conducted in a church of another faith, so Miss Dora Olsen offered the use of the dining room of the Keeline hotel. Rev. Irwin of Lusk offered a prayer, read an appropriate scriptural passage, a mixed quartet from Keeline sang "Lead Kindly light" and "Rock of Ages"--the whole service taking up only 15 minutes.

A daughter of the deceased arrived from Lebanon, Mo., by bus Sunday, being the only out-of-town relative at the funeral.

OBITUARY
Mary T. Lauber was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on January 3, 1859, and passed away October 6, 1932, at the age of 74 years.

She was united in marriage to Helmeuth Miltzow in November, 1876, at Philadelphia. The married union endured for 56 years until ended by death. To this union were born two children--Anne, who died in 1905, and Mrs. Mamie Briscoe, who lives at Lebanon, Mo. She is survived by the husband, the daughter, five grand-children, four great-grandchildren and by three sisters--Miss Lillie Lauber who made her home with them; Mrs. A.A. Kelley of Magnolia, N.J., and Mrs. Chas. Lieb of Pittson, Pa.

Mrs. Miltzow united with the Presbyterian Church in early girlhood and followed that faith until moving to Zion City, Ill., where she and her husband became members of the Christian Church of Zion. The teachings of this church she followed until her death. They came to Keeline, Wyo., in 1917, where they have since lived on a farm. Mrs. Miltzow lived a life of devotion to her home and religious ideals and passed away peacefully after a brief illness.
