Russell Bradley, Pioneer Resident Dies in Cheyenne
Russell Bradley, 93, a pioneer resident of this area, died in Cheyenne November 30. Funeral services were held in Cheyenne.
Mr. Bradley was born in Junction City, Kan., on July 31, 1874, and came to Wyoming in 1886 (same year Lusk was founded) and settled south of Lusk on Rawhide Creek. In 1895 the family moved to southern Missouri where he married Nancy A. Parker. They were the parents of one son, Wm. M. who was head of the Wyoming Highway Patrol for many years.
In 1901 the Bradley family moved back to Wyoming and Mr. Bradley operated a blacksmithing shop in Lusk until 1909. That year he went back into ranching and operated ranches in the Wheatland and Basin areas. In 1938 Bradleys returned to Lusk and operated the Silver Cliff Dairy until 1946 when Mr. Bradley retired and they moved to Cheyenne.
Survivors include his son, Wm. Of Cheyenne; a sister, Mrs. Zona McFarlane of Lingle; and two granddaughters.
His wife died January 10, 1966
