William Porter Dies at Newcastle
William T. Porter, a former resident of Lusk and former theatre manager here, died at his home in Newcastle, April 26, following a lingering illness.
Mr. and Mrs. Porter and three children lived in Lusk for some six years where Mr. Porter operated the picture show, moving from here to Newcastle about 1926 where they have since resided.
William Torrence Porter was born Dec. 3, 1890 at Central Park, Mont. In 1910 he was graduated from a Kansas City Business College. On April 13, 1913 he was married to Madarine Frences Dixon of Wolf Creek, Mont., who survives him. They are parents of three daughters, Lillian Porter of Laramie, Viola Howry of Newcastle, and Jean Frances, who preceded her father in death.
Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in Newcastle on Monday, April 28 with burial in the Greenwood cemetery.
