Services for Mrs. Paul "Mary" Godfrey were held Monday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Cheyenne with Rev. Eugene Todd officiating.
Mrs. Godfrey died Sunday morning in Cheyenne. She was born Sept. 21, 1938 in Sewickley, Pa., the third child of the late Robert and Katharine Allen. She graduated from the Laurel Academy in Cleveland, Ohio in 1957, and from the University of Colorado in 1961. In 1970 she married Paul Godfrey and they moved to Cheyenne. Mrs. Godfrey was an active member of her church, having served on the Vestry. She was also a member of the Cheyenne Little Theater Players, was active in the Republican Party, and was a member of the Colonial Dames.
Survivors include her husband Paul of Cheyenne; his two sons, Brett and Scott; a sister, Mrs. Warren Morton of Casper, a brother, Robert Allen of Chaddsford, Pa., eight nieces and nephews and six grand nieces and nephews.
For those who wish, donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Frontier Hospice Program in Cheyenne will be appreciated by the family.
