John "Duzer" Edward Eberspecher
John Edward Eberspecher
John Edward Eberspecher, better known as Duzer, thirteenth child of John C. and Francis Eberspecher, was born Dec. 31, 1909 at Hat Creek. He died Aug. 7 at Northwest General Hospital at Scottsbluff, Neb.
Duzer attended Bodarc rural school on the north edge of the family farm and attended Sioux County High School at Harrison, Neb. He worked on the family farm and bought it after his parents died.
He married Anna L. Coffee on May 29, 1943 at Chadron, Neb. In 1950, they adopted a daughter, Marilyn. They lived on the farm for 28 years, then moved to Harrison in 1971.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Johney, Charlie, Cris, Frank, Henery, Tom and Ted and his sisters, Alma and Hilda.
Duzer is survived by his wife, Anna; daughter Marilyn Robertson; grandchildren, Richard, Tori and Kelli and his sisters, Millie Zimmerman, Bertha Parsons and Fern Bourett.
A memorial has been established at the Sioux National Bank for the ambulance fund.
