Local people attend funeral
Anna Eberspecher, Arthur Coffee and Nellie Bannan attended the funeral of Wiliam (Bill) Bannan in Crawford July 20.
Bannan, who was 59 years of age, served in both the Korean and Vietnam War. He continued to serve in the army until 1971 and was a master sergeant when he retired.
With his wife, son and daughter, the Bannans have made their home in Whitney, Neb., since his retirement.
He was the son of Robert and Elva Bannan, who lived in Wyoming for a number of years.
In addition to his immediate family, Bannan is survived by two brothers, Robert of Chadron and Dick of San Antonio; one sister, Mary McGinnis of Crawford; and an aunt, Nellie Bannan of Harrison.
