William Earl Hopkins
William (Bill) Earl Hopkins, 55, died July 12 at Sacramento, Calif. He was born Sept. 20, 1928 in Kola, Neb. He was raised in Wyoming.
He moved to Billings, Mont. in 1966, where he graduated from Billings Business College. He was a member of the Teamsters 190 and was last employed by Empire Sand and Gravel. He served in the armed forces, World War II and the Korean War.
On Dec. 24, 1958, he married Nora Audrey Gossett in Sheridan, Wyo. The family moved to Sacramento in 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Hopkins; four sons, John A., and Dwayne O., both of Billings, Thomas W., of Columbine, Mont., and Dennis D. of Sheridan; a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Fortier of Billings; a brother, John E. Hopkins of Littleton, Colo., four sisters, Eva Jordan of Marrionville, Mo., Betty Mae Snell of Garland, Texas, Joy Anderson of Lusk and Lois Jean Gossett of Sacramento; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorial services were held July 25 in Billings at the Billings First United Methodist Church, with burial in the National Cemetery in Sturgis, S. D.
