Dan McCarthy, Sr., Passes On
Dan McCarthy, Sr., passed away Wednesday morning at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dan McCarthy, Jr., who recently moved here from Osage. The cause of Mr. McCarthy's death was attributed to ulcers of the stomach.
At the time of his death, Mr. McCarthy was 72 years, 11 months and 28 days old. He was a railroader by occupation.
His wife preceeded him in death last March. Surviving are three sons, Dan McCarthy, Jr., of Lusk; Charles and Edward of Omaha, Nebr., and one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Grout of Norfolk, Nebr.
The remains will be sent to Omaha where funeral services will be held.
