Little Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Porter Dies
The community was saddened last week by the news of the death of little Gene Porter, 4-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Porter of the Garden Theatre in Lusk. She passed away on Friday, May 24th, at St. Joseph's Hospital, at Alliance, Neb., of pneumonia. She had been sick but a short time, and her parents took her to the Alliance hospital when her condition became serious.
Little Gene was born in Newcastle, Wyo., in January, 1925, and came with her parents to Lusk two years ago.
Services were held on Sunday, May 26, at the Methodist Church in Newcastle and interment made in the cemetery of that city.
She is survived by her parents, and one sister, Lilian, 6 years old.
The little one possessed a sunny disposition and was beloved by all her playmates and neighbors.
Those from Lusk who attended the services at Newcastle were Mr. and Mrs. Clark Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Edmondson and Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Davies.
