Mrs. John Hanson of Harrison Dies in Lusk Today
Mrs. Ida Hanson, wife of John Hanson, passed away at the Spencer Hospital at 3:30 this morning. Mrs. Hanson suffered a stroke on October 19, and has been in a serious condition since. She was 74 and prior to her last illness had always enjoyed unusually good health.
Mr. and Mrs. Hanson are old time residents of the Harrison community, but they have many friends and relatives in Niobrara County. Mrs. Hanson was born in Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Hanson is survived by her husband John Hanson; five daughters, Mrs. Slim Tibbets of Lusk, Mrs. Harlan Lohr of Kirtley, Mrs. Wayne Heckert of Douglas, Mrs. Neil Holmes of Boulder City, Nev. and Miss Edna Hanson of Harrison; and two sons, Frank and Guy Hanson, both of Harrison.
Among other relatives who survive are four sisters, Mrs. Cora McLaughlin of Latrobe, Pa., Mrs. Carrie Scott of Casper, Mrs. Pearl George of Alliance and Mrs. May Grant of Crawford, and four brothers, Scott Sides of Crawford, Frank and Lawrence Sides of Pine Ridge, So. Dak., and Stewart Sides of Kirtley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hanson will be held at Harrison, at the Methodist Church at two o'clock Saturday afternoon.
