Keeline Resident Dies Monday, Believed As Result of Handling Hopper Poison
Ralph J. Peterson, resident of Keeline, and son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Peterson of Jireh, passed away at the home of his brother Lloyd in Keeline, Monday evening about 7:35, July 8th.
It is presumed that lead poisoning developed from possible contamination of drinking water following the handling of several hundred pounds of grasshopper poison last summer. It was reported that others in the farm home where he was employed, have had attacks of the sickness during the past several months.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara and small child, Dale, who is only a few months old.
Funeral services will be held July 11th from the Lutheran Church and interment will be made in the Jireh cemetery. Rev. Carl Hellman will officiate.
Ralph J. Peterson was born at Gresham, Nebr., April 30, 1909. He moved to Colome, S. D., in childhood and moved from there to Wyoming in April, 1934. Since arriving in Wyoming he has made his home near Keeline on the ranch.
The Peet Mortuary had charge of the funeral arrangements.
