Robert Howard, 76, Dies in Denver; Funeral Saturday
Robert Howard, 76 years old, resident of Lost Springs for many years, passed away in Denver, Colo., last Wednesday, April 17, the cause of death being due to heart trouble.
Funeral servlces were held at the Methodist Church in Lost Springs, Saturday afternoon. Pallbearers were old-time friends of deceased.
He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Belle Bright of Shawnee, Mrs. Lillian Hitshew of Lost Springs, Mrs. Elizabeth Pratt of Casper, and one son, William Howard of Lost Springs, about 12 grandchildren, one of which is Homer Hughes of Lance Creek. A number of great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Howard came to Lost Springs about 1894, settling in that community as a rancher. During his long residence in that community he made many warm friends and was universally respected by all who knew him.
