Former Keeline Resident Dies at Guernsey
Emil Runser of Guernsey, formerly a resident of near Keeline, passed away at the Scottsbluff Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, following an operation for ulcers of the stomach.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 10, at the High School auditorium in Guernsey, with the Masons of Wheatland, Sunrise and Guernsey in charge.
Interment was made in the Guernsey cemetery.
Obituary
Emil Runser was born in Erie, Pa., in 1893. He was a son of Mr. Fred Runser by a former marriage, and came with Mr. and Mrs. Runser to Wyoming when 4 years of age. They resided at Cheyenne for some two years after which they moved to a
claim south of Keeline, where Emil grew to manhood.
In 1914 he was married to Miss Lorena Runser and has made his home in Guernsey since that time.
For the past several years he has been janitor at the Guernsey school and an instuctor in the manual training class.
He is survived by his widow, his step-father, Fred Runser, of Twin Falls, Idaho, a half brother, Harry of Sunrise; two half sisters, Mrs. Alex Duncan of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Mrs. Leo Voss of Wells, Nevada.
The pupils in his class, his brother Masons, and his many friends and relatives will feel keenly the loss of his presence among them.
